Buildingo 10 Feet Wide × 50 Feet Deep Plot – Ultimate 1BHK Design (North Facing)
In this blog, I am explaining one of the best possible 1BHK plans which can be created in a 10 feet wide and 50 feet deep plot. This is a north-facing plot, and the entrance is given at the north-east corner, which is very good as per vastu also. I have uploaded the 2D plan, 3D plan, and front elevation together so that you can clearly understand how planning and execution both are matching perfectly.
Entrance, Staircase & Parking Concept
On the ground floor, as soon as you enter from the north-east corner, the staircase is directly accessible. This staircase is an open well staircase of 9.5 ft × 9 ft, and this is a very important feature. Because of this open well concept, proper ventilation and light can come inside from the front balcony and window side.
Below the staircase, some space is utilized smartly for parking purpose, which is very useful in compact plots like this. Many people ignore this, but in 10 feet width, every inch matters.
There is a 3 feet wide passage which takes you inside the flat. This passage creates privacy. Direct entry inside drawing room is avoided, which is practically very good.
Drawing Room & Toilet Planning
After entering the flat, we have a 5.5 ft × 9 ft drawing room. For a compact house, this size is properly usable. Sofa arrangement, small TV unit, everything is comfortably possible.
Along with drawing room, a 4 ft × 8 ft toilet is provided. In narrow plots, toilet ventilation becomes a problem. But here, because staircase and front opening is there, natural ventilation can reach till drawing and toilet area. That is the advantage of this layout.
Dining, OTS & Kitchen
Moving ahead, we have a 9.5 ft × 8 ft dining area. This is well connected and feels open because of proper linear planning.
In dining area, you can see an OTS (Open to Sky) of 3 ft × 2 ft, marked with cross and column. This OTS is very important structurally and functionally. It can be covered with transparent sheet from top so that rainwater does not enter, but light and air can come. In compact houses, OTS plays a major role.
Then we have a 6 ft × 8 ft kitchen, which is very practical. L-shaped counter is possible. As per vastu also, kitchen is placed in south-east direction, which is ideal.
Bedroom & Circulation
After OTS, a 3 feet passage is given to access the bedroom. This creates separation between living and private zone.
The bedroom is 9.5 ft × 15 ft, which is very good in this plot size. Bed, wardrobe, side tables, everything fits properly. Bedroom is placed towards south-west side, which again is a good vastu position.
Structural Strength & Future Scope
All exterior and interior walls are 5 inches thick partition walls. Total 12 pillars of 10 inches are provided in 50 feet length. If future G+2 construction is planned, foundation can go 15 feet deep, tied with plinth beam.
If 10” × 10” beams are provided all around and proper tie beams are given at floor level, this structure can safely go up to G+2 comfortably, even G+4 possible with proper structural design. But ideally, this is perfect for G+2.
3D Plan & Elevation Beauty
The 3D plan clearly shows whatever is in 2D. Open well staircase is visible through the glass window. In front elevation, the balcony of 2.5 feet projection is visible. Glass railing, modern color combination, warm lights, and staircase seen through glass make the elevation very attractive and authentic.
This is not just a plan. This is a practical solution for a 10 feet wide plot.
If someone wants the best 1BHK in 10 × 50 plot, this is one of the finest options. In the next part, we will explain how 2BHK can also be planned in the same size, and then you can choose which suits your requirement better.
10 Feet Wide × 50 Feet Deep Plot – Compact 2BHK Option
Now in the same size plot, 10 feet wide and 50 feet deep, we have created one more option. If someone says, “I don’t want 1BHK, I want two bedrooms in this compact size,” then this 2BHK layout is the solution. Yes, it is compact. Yes, little congested compared to 1BHK. But practically, it is workable and properly planned.
As you can see in the drawing, again the staircase portion is about 10 feet by 10 feet, inside clear around 9 feet by 9 feetusable for staircase and circulation. Staircase and parking concept remains similar. Structure is same logic – 12 pillars of 10 inches, 5-inch internal and external walls, and future scope for G+2 if foundation is taken properly up to 15 feet depth and tied with plinth beam.
After staircase, we have a toilet of 6.5 feet by 4 feet. This is slightly bigger compared to first plan toilet width. It is adjusted in a way that plumbing line becomes compact and manageable.
Then comes the drawing room of 6 feet by 9 feet. I will say honestly, this is little congested. But still, sofa set, small center table and TV unit can be managed. For a 500 square feet house, this is acceptable compromise if client wants two bedrooms.
Next is the kitchen of 6 feet by 5 feet. It is compact kitchen, suitable for small family. Straight counter or small L-shape can be adjusted. Proper ventilation must be given either through window or shaft. Planning is linear, so services alignment becomes easy.
There is a passage of around 7.5 feet length and 2.5 to 3 feet width, which connects bedrooms. This passage creates privacy between living and sleeping zone.
Now coming to main highlight – two bedrooms have been adjusted inside 10 feet width plot.
One bedroom is 10 feet by 7 feet. This is suitable for kids room or small bedroom. Bed and wardrobe arrangement needs proper planning, but it is workable.
Second bedroom is 9 feet by 10 feet, which can be master bedroom. Double bed, side tables and small wardrobe can be adjusted properly.
Structurally, this plan also follows same grid – 12 pillars, 5-inch walls, tie beams at floor level. If proper 10” × 10” beams are provided and columns are aligned properly, this structure can also go for G+2 safely. But again, ideal recommendation is G+2 only.

In 3D plan and elevation, you can clearly see how staircase is visible through glass window, balcony projection, warm lighting, and modern elevation design. Even if internal planning is compact, outside elevation looks premium and attractive. Glass railing, wooden texture panel, neutral color combination and soft lighting make it look very authentic and beautiful.
So now choice is simple.
If someone wants spacious 1BHK with comfort and ventilation – first plan is best.
If someone wants 2 bedrooms in 500 sq ft compact house, this second plan is practical solution.
Both are possible in 10 feet by 50 feet plot. It depends on requirement.
10 Feet Wide × 50 Feet Deep Plot – 1BHK or 2BHK? Full Planning + 3D + Structural Design Explained
In this blog, I am giving you complete clarity. You have seen the 2D floor plans, the 3D floor plans, the 3D front elevation, and also the basic structural design for Ground Plus Two floors. Now you can decide properly – whether to go with spacious 1BHK, compact 2BHK, or even combine both on different floors.
This is a 10 feet wide and 50 feet deep north-facing plot. Entrance is placed at north-east corner, which is very good as per vastu. That is the starting strong point of this design.
First Option – Spacious 1BHK Layout
In the first 2D plan, we have provided a very practical 1BHK.
At the front, staircase block is around 9.5 ft × 9 ft open well staircase. This is not ordinary staircase. It is open well type, which allows light and ventilation. Below staircase, parking space is adjusted. So space is not wasted.
Then 3 feet passage takes you inside the flat.
Drawing room is 5.5 ft × 9 ft. Compact but comfortable. Along with that, toilet of 4 ft × 8 ft is given. Ventilation is possible through staircase opening and front side.
Then comes dining area 9.5 ft × 8 ft. Here OTS (Open to Sky) of around 3 ft × 2 ft is provided near column position. This OTS can be covered with transparent sheet so rainwater will not enter but light will come.
Kitchen is 6 ft × 8 ft, placed in south-east direction. Good as per vastu.
Bedroom is 9.5 ft × 15 ft, very comfortable size in 10 feet wide plot. This 1BHK feels open and breathable.
Second Option – Compact 2BHK Layout
Now if someone wants two bedrooms in same 10 × 50 plot, second 2D plan shows how it is possible.
Staircase block is again around 9 ft × 9 ft clear inside 10 × 10 area.
Toilet size is around 6.5 ft × 4 ft.
Drawing room is 6 ft × 9 ft. Little congested but manageable.
Kitchen is 6 ft × 5 ft. Compact and service-friendly.
Then 2 bedrooms are adjusted:
- One bedroom 10 ft × 7 ft
- Second bedroom 9 ft × 10 ft
Yes, this plan is tighter than 1BHK. But in 500 square feet area, two rooms are possible. So client has choice.
You can even build:
- Ground floor – 1BHK
- First floor – 2BHK
- Or both floors same
3D Floor Plan – What You Can Actually See
In the 3D floor plans, everything becomes realistic.
You can see:
- Open well staircase clearly
- Toilet fittings placed properly
- Dining furniture arrangement
- Kitchen platform and stove position
- Bedroom with bed and wardrobe layout
It helps client to visualize actual movement space. That is why 3D planning is very important.
3D Front Elevation – Modern & Attractive
In elevation, you can see:
- 2.5 feet balcony projection
- Glass railing
- Staircase visible through front glass window
- Wooden texture panel
- Neutral modern color combination
- Warm LED lights
- Clean rectangular façade
Even though plot is only 10 feet wide, elevation does not look small. It looks premium and attractive. This is important in today’s market.
Structural Design – Ground Plus Two Floors
Now coming to structural part, which is backbone.
- Column size: 10 inch × 10 inch with 10mm bars
- Total around 12 columns in 50 feet length
- Foundation depth: 15 feet below ground level
- All footings tied with plinth beam
- Beam size: 10 inch × 10 inch
- Beams run around columns and partition walls
- Slab design: 10mm main steel + 10mm distribution steel
- Slab thickness around 5 inch is sufficient for G+2
If proper tie beams and column alignment are maintained, this structure is ideal for Ground + 2 floors safely.
Yes, theoretically more floors possible with redesign, but recommended design is for G+2.
Final Decision
So now you have full clarity.
If you want:
- More openness and comfort → choose 1BHK
- More rooms in same area → choose 2BHK
- Rental income idea → mix both floors
All planning, 2D layout, 3D visualization, front elevation and structural design are already prepared.
In 10 feet wide plot, this is one of the best possible planning combinations available.
